Capriccio has returned with a new and improved everything. This well-known Italian restaurant reopened in 2023 and did not disappoint in style nor flavor. The interior boasts a cozy, modern rustic charm, while outside offers a bistro-lit patio perfect for dinner under the stars. If you're looking to experience authentic Italian food, then this is the place to dine.
Cocktails
Every good meal starts off with a great cocktail, and Capriccio does not disappoint in this department! Fun fact: their cocktails can be ordered with popular Italian hand gestures, adding a bit of fun and style to the ordering experience. But all fun aside, they know how to make a good drink—a damn good drink! Each cocktail features a creative blend of flavors, is well-balanced, and has just the right touch of alcohol. You'll enjoy them so much you'll do just as we did and order another round ;).
Food
Capriccio's menu celebrates all of Italy with signature dishes from all parts of the country. From seafood to chicken, beef tenderloin to lamb, and even completely vegetarian options, there's something for everyone. Portion sizes are also large enough to be shared between two persons, so it's good bang for the buck. Our choices for the night were the Fritto Misto—delicious, crunchy bites of calamari, prawns, and cod; the Zuppa Di Cozzie—Italian for sautéed mussels and tomatoes, with fresh pasta mixed in an aged cut of Parmigiano Reggiano (very fancy); and a perfectly cooked Beef Tenderloin that melted in your mouth. If you're lucky, after dinner, you'll be invited to venture upstairs to experience a hidden gem that even we won't reveal.
Price
This restaurant is on the pricier side, with appetizers starting at $24 and main dishes between $28 - $56. On the upside, the portion sizes are large enough to share with two or three persons depending on the dish, the food is delicious, and the service is great, so the trade-off seems fair. Overall, it's a restaurant we would visit again and suggest to anyone looking for a great Italian meal.
